Painting Workshops
Learn about abstract expressionism, delve into your subconcious and explore your intrinsic mark making.
An opportunity to explore abstract expressionist painting with an experienced artist. The workshop will involve a brief introduction to the concept of abstract expressionism and Emilie’s personal processes before you are encouraged to step outside of your comfort zone and start painting. You will receive as much or as little guidence as you like and may be challenged to think outside the box. The aim of this workshop is not to leave with a beautiful piece of art, but to use the time and space to tap into your subconcious and enjoy the experience.
These workshops are suitable for all, whether you are a complete beginner or established artist of any genre. Please note that although aprons are provided, old clothes are recommended.
Workshops are held at JARO Gallery in St Helier but can be adapted to suitable alternative venues including schools and colleges. Corporate and private workshop enquiries are welcome - get in touch if you are looking for something new to do with your work / birthday / hen or stag do!
